Grandma and Grandpa T came for the weekend when Paul had to go "up north" to their hunting cabin. We always have such a great time with them- always fun things to do, learn, see and EAT! Grandma helped the girls roll out and decorate sugar cookies....Emily REALLY likes cookie dough! Julia and Hope REALLY like sprinkles! Mommy REALLY likes eating the cookies!

First Day of First Grade
Our little lady was off to First Grade September 2nd, 2008. It is hard to believe that she's 6 years old already! She has such a wonderful heart - we are really proud! The dress she wore the first day of first grade was THE dress her Grandmother Ramona wore on Her first day of first grade in 1945 - hand made by Julia's Great Aunt Toni. Now- isn't THAT a cool story! The dress fit perfectly - Julia resembled an American Girl Doll! (Like Paul always tells me " you're girls are like live dolls to you..) Yes, sometimes they are!

Country Friend / City Friend
Strong Family Resemblance....see below! (Sorry Salena- these were too funny to not post)

Abram trying out the John Deere

Steven helping Emily drive the tractor for the first time!
We had the Ness family out for a fun evening of pizza and farming! Ethan Ness is a classmate of Julias at Morning Son, and Salena and I have become fast friends through work at American Federal and being moms of First Graders! Paul came over with a big tractor so Ethan could get the full farm experience- We had a great night!
Daddy's Helpers
There she goes - Hope is getting the hang of it now! Check out that big smile!!
Julia running the skid steer - ok, maybe she's just sitting in it!
We finally got a cement apron in front of our garage - Paul wanted to do the prep work himself, to save money - so he decided this would be a good learning experience for the girls. They were little troopers- Hope and Julia both ran the packer - Emily was a good supervisor! :-)
An evening with the Ladies
